Li Qiang (Art Project)

1/10
In the Li Qiang project, I painted an oil portrait for my friend Li Qiang and gifted it to him as a souvenir. The portrait now still hangs in his living room, and he also returns the favor by gifting me a pack of betel nuts. Expanding from this gesture, I painted another portrait of him that is 6 meters wide and 9 meters tall and erected the painting on the wasteland opposite of his house. Because of this, a portrait of an ordinary man appeared in the wilderness of the southern suburbs of Changsha, and also because of this, there is somehow a relation between him and art now.
